It is dark, exciting, and even sometimes strange, providing haunting insight into what happens to a person to truly make them evil. Is this the prequel we need? It took me back to my middle school days of obsessing over these characters. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes Review I honestly can say that this was my favourite Hunger Games book. Best part is, even newcomers to the series can enjoy it as it is a prequel and so it doesn't really require knowledge of previous books. It was incredible to be back in this world again; I never thought I’d get to read another book set in Panem. If so, what did you think?
